This new design is based on some primary documentation the Civil War reenacting community provided. We had little to go on beyond a measured sketch and listing of “4 common lanterns.” We scaled up the drawing and based the punch pattern on it.
The single-candle lantern is about 15 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
Please note that these lanterns are made by hand, one at a time. There will be variations in the finish and the punch design.
