This lantern is based on a rendezvous lantern given to me by my old friend Bill. They used to joke around and call it “The Microwave” because it got so hot if it burned for a long time. I have added some vent holes in the back to help it stay a little cooler. But I have to admit that it will still be a candle cooker if lit for long periods.
The lantern has a slide-up panel on the back for access and nice rustic glass panes. They hold two taper candles.
I made three of these, and each glass is slightly different.
