Here is a large hanging lantern that will be the envy of every camp or exhibit around you. This huge hand-made tin lantern is my interpretation of a lantern depicted in a painting from 1645 and is unlike any other hanging lantern I have made.
22 inches tall, including the ring, and 10.5 inches in diameter.
Amber or Lite colored lampshade mica panes to simulate horn.
·Black, Red, Antiqued, or Bright Finish
· The candle cup inside the lantern is sized for a 2.75” diameter candle.
This sizeable 17th-century style lantern is based on a lantern depicted in Guardroom with the Deliverance of St. Peter by David Teniers the Younger in about 1645.
The finish is intended to look like a lantern that has been used and repainted a few times, with brush marks and blemishes.
Each lantern is made one at a time, and there WILL be small differences in finish and construction for each lantern.
